elPetit Festival

SMALL STEPS, BIG HORIZONS

From 14 to 29 November 2026, the elPetit Festival celebrates its 22nd edition across several towns and cities, presenting a national and international programme of live arts for children aged 0 to 5, their families and the communities that surround them. Faithful to our commitment to early childhood, we present contemporary artistic experiences that invite audiences to discover, explore, feel and connect from the very first years of life.

The theme of this edition, “Small Steps, Big Horizons”, invites us to recognise the value of small gestures, individual rhythms and everything that is built without haste. In a world that often pushes us to move faster, the Festival proposes that we pause, observe, explore and move forward gently, respecting different ways of being, feeling and experiencing the world.

At elPetit, we understand culture as a shared experience created by children, artists, families, professionals and communities. A space shaped by curiosity, listening, questions and discovery. A journey whose purpose is not to arrive somewhere, but to create meaningful experiences that transform us along the way.

Alongside the artistic programme, the XI International Encounter of Arts for (Early) Childhood (19–22 November) will bring together artists and professionals from the fields of culture, education, social action and health from around the world to continue collectively imagining new ways of guaranteeing children's cultural rights.

The elPetit Festival is an invitation to look further ahead while still valuing every step. To walk together, each at our own pace. To discover that, often, it is within the smallest experiences that the widest horizons begin to open.

Small Steps, Big Horizons.
