Gesto - PREMIERE!
Taiat Dansa

SYNOPSIS
Gesto is a piece that embraces an interactive audiovisual installation designed to immerse dancers —and also the audience— in a dynamic environment full of shifting perceptions, combining movement, light, sound, music, and visual art. It is conceived for museums as well as theatrical and non-traditional spaces.
At the center of the installation lies a digital carpet on the floor, inviting participants, from the very beginning, to step into a world where movement generates and transforms the surrounding visual and sonic landscape. Every step, every gesture becomes a catalyst for visual distortions on the projected floor and triggers random sound compositions, making each interaction unique.
The dancers guide and encourage the audience to interact with the installation as they wish. Whether walking, running, lying on the ground, playing, or moving freely, every action is detected and translated into audiovisual expressions.
These interactions turn participants’ movements into various multimedia languages and contribute to the creation of a collective symphony. The installation grows and evolves through the diversity of these interactions, continuously transforming as each new participant adds their own personal movement.
