Being in the workshop is like being in a huge laboratory…
Exploring and observing what happens when the body meets clay. Feeling how the material influences our gestures, our movements, and the way we relate to one another.
Does the material slow us down? Does it resist us? Does it take us elsewhere? Does it transform us?
Exploring the material with our fingertips or with our whole bodies: digging, scraping, tearing; rushing, flattening, stretching; squeezing, kneading, shaping; tracing paths, leaving imprints; bringing a form to life and then transforming it; building, deconstructing, starting afresh; observing the landscapes emerging beneath our hands; letting ourselves be guided by the material or trying to guide it; listening to what it has to say; dancing with its qualities, its textures, its metamorphoses.
